… WLAN-Datensicherung mit «Time Machine» bleibt damit ein exklusives «Vergnügen» – exklusiv übrigens auch im Sinn von «teuer»: In der Schweiz kostet die AirPort Extreme-Basisstation CHF 249.00, die «Time Capsule» CHF 429.00 (500 GB-Version) beziehungsweise CHF 729.00 (1 TB-Version). In der günstigeren Version kostet das GB Speicherplatz damit rund 36 Rappen, in der teureren Version rund 48 Rappen, was im Vergleich zu USB-Festplatten, die man sich im Handel kauft, vergleichsweise teuer ist.

Nebenbei gefragt: Für mich bleibt ein Rätsel, wieso man bei der teureren Version pro GB einen höheren Preis bezahlen muss – ist Mengenrabatt für Apple ein Fremdwort oder sind 1 TB-Festplatten wirklich noch so teuer?

Zwar hält sich der unergonomische Spiegeleffekt bei kleinen Bildschirmen wie jenem das MacBook Air normalerweise in Grenzen, doch selbst die offiziellen Bilder von Apple zeigen einen deutlichen Spiegeleffekt …

In a matter of days, a third-hand, unsubstantiated rumor blossoms into a hand-held device that can do everything except find a girlfriend for a fat, smelly nerd.

On the morning of Steve Jobs’s keynote presentation, the online Apple store grinds to a halt as Mac-heads set their browsers to refresh every 15 seconds.

In the wee hours of the morning on the initial ship date, as the Mac heads lay snug in their beds or take MDMA and dance to bad music, Apple delays everybody’s ship date by four weeks.
