Gibt wieder was neues… MailRaider 0.2 (http://www.45rpmsoftware.com/45RPM/MailRaider.html). Scheint gut zu funktionieren

… handelt es sich um Text, kommt man mit .msg-Dateien halbwegs klar. Enthalten diese aber Bilder und sonstige Attachments, allenfalls gar weitere .msg-Dateien, wird’s schwierig. Am besten bittet man den Absender darum, seine E-Mail in einem Standard-Format zu senden.

jaaa..kann es..die mail sieht zwar sehr kryptisch danach aus,aber man kann den inhalt erahnen..

ich las deinen artikel schon vor tagen und dachte mir :hähähä..die haben problem..

gestern bekomme ich eine email mit einem anhang,,eine email natürlich mit der endung msg und der spass konnte beginnen..;) hoffe das ich den anhang noch aufbekomme und vor allem,so das es auch lesbar ist,die anhangsmail ist wichtig…

It would certainly be very Mac-like and therefore convenient if a simple .msg conversion tool with a fancy GUI were available for download. Perl, however, works different as you correctly pointed out in your comment. Since Perl is delivered with Mac OS X by default and you provide on your site links to the necessary modules (on CPAN), it still a quite helpful solution. Thank you!

(Speaking of CPAN, your direct link to the Getopt::Long module is broken. Thanks to http://search.cpan.org/ as also linked on your site, it can be easily found again, the current valid URL is http://search.cpan.org/~jv/Getopt-Long-2.37/.)

Interesting point. How would you like this to happen? I’m afraid it’s just how the Perl ecosystem works. Email::Outlook::Message is the only module I wrote myself, so if I let people download the other modules from my own site, I would constantly have to keep track of any new versions.

Or do you want to download just one file that includes everything, including Perl? I don’t use MacOS myself, so I’m not sure what a Mac user expects .
